This year-round experience is the heart of Arbor Day Farm, with fun and excitement around every bend.
Arbor Lodge State Historical Park is the original home of the Morton family. It was here in 1872 that the idea for the first Arbor Day began — as a way to encourage people everywhere to plant trees so desperately needed. On the first Arbor Day, nearly 1 million trees were planted in Nebraska.
